Experience the Power of Remote Monitoring

New Brochure Cover GB Monitoring have produced a new brochure designed for our partner installers to distribute to their customers. The aim of our "Experience the Power of Remote Monitoring" brochure is to help our partner installers explain the benefits of monitored CCTV solutions to their customers.

It includes an explanation of how remotely monitored CCTV works with a cartoon strip for demonstrative purposes. Our brochure also describes the benefits of using a monitored CCTV system, as well as explaining the need to have a BS 8418 compliant system.

The new brochure is available to download now, and will be available in hard copy from Monday 22nd November.
 

New Website

The GB Monitoring website has undergone a style and navigation change. The aim of this is to make the site more user-friendly and enable web visitors to access all the information that they need.
Our "How it Works" page explains in detail how remotely monitored CCTV works and includes a cartoon strip detailing all stages from installation to alarming.

Licensing requirements mean they have to protect the data held on their computer servers with high grade security with an accredited security supplier. After dealing with the disruption and costly aftermath of a break-in, the company introduced remote monitoring to tackle the problem and avoid a repeat.

BS 8418:2010 Update

BS 8418 is the code of practice for the installation and remote monitoring of detector activated CCTV systems. BS 8418 has undergone a review and the 2003 version is now being replaced by the 2010 version. Significantly there is a "dual running" period of one year, which expires on 31st July 2011. This allows installers to use either version of the Code of Practice and is subject to availability of compliant manufactured equipment.
