£150,000 new investment for GB Monitoring
GB Monitoring is to invest a further £150,000 in round the clock CCTV remote monitoring services at its Lincolnshire-based central control room.
A three month upgrade programme will keep the company’s ARC Gold approved control centre at the leading edge of technology and provide its national customer base with greater remote management.
Remotely monitored CCTV provides live on-the-ground site protection around the clock, by connecting motion detectors to cameras, linked to a 24 hour remote monitoring control centre, and is increasingly used on commercial, public sector and even domestic sites.
When complete, GB’s upgraded centre will radicalise the operation and streamline site monitoring through improved control and intuitive information for operators. In a paperless system, all site and system-related correspondence will be presented electronically to the operator when an action is required.
The new system will also provide web access for customers, so they can directly update information for remotely monitored CCTV systems. They will also be able to view activations and actions at their premises.
“The upgrade programme has been planned to ensure a seamless service to customers whilst it takes place,” said director Neil Jackson. “When complete, it places us in a strong position as we continue to develop our installer partnerships across the country.”
GB Security has a 30 year track record and is a longstanding contributor to the development of industry standards. Their NSI ARC Gold remote video response centre has been operating since 1993, and was one of the first NSI ARCs to gain BS 8418 approval.
