About Us

GB Monitoring is a specialist monitoring centre, operating to the highest achievable accreditation levels with NSI and SIA, and with a proven track record since 1993. We are based in Lincolnshire in the East Midlands but we operate remotely monitored CCTV monitoring services across the UK.

We like to build relationships that last, and outstanding customer care and technical support are at the core of our business. We work in partnership with high quality security installers across the country, to provide the leading edge remote monitoring resources they need for their customers.

Our NSI Gold approved remote video response centre (RVRC) features state of the art technology, providing truly excellent round the clock monitoring to customers across the UK and supporting a wide range of transmission technologies. The centre operates to the industry’s highest certification – NSI ARC Gold, BS 8418 compliant and with ISO 9001:2008.

A recent £150,000 investment programme introduced a range of new benefits and enhanced remote management for customers and installer partners. The new technology is further streamlining remote site monitoring through improved control and intuitive information for operators. In a paperless system, all site and system-related correspondence is presented electronically to the operator when an action is required. The system also provides web access for customers, so they can directly update information for remotely monitored CCTV systems and to view activations and actions at their premises.

All monitoring centre staff are SIA licensed for monitoring both private and public space and the company operates under the Approved Contract Scheme (ACS), the independently assessed quality standard for suppliers of private security services.

As well as 24 hour monitoring of detection activated systems, we can also provide a full remote guarding service with site ingress / egress and plant control management.

Approvals

The highest standard of remote monitoring services is provided by BS 8418 approved providers. The standard was introduced to cover both the installation and monitoring of detector activated systems and the major benefit of a BS 8418 compliant system is that you are given level one response from the police, or other responding authority through your own Unique Reference Number.

The highest approval standard for a Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) is NSI ARC Gold. This provides assurance that it is operated against appropriate codes of practice and that technical, business and quality standards are achieved, including ISO 9001:2008.

GB Monitoring currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of PSS / CCTV services.
